Dr Virginia Franqueira is a lecturer at the University of Kent, Institute of Cyber Security for Society (iCSS), since 2019. Prior to that she held lectureship positions at two other HEIs (University of Derby and University of Central Lancashire). Her research interests include digital forensics (especially methods for improving the investigation process and the impact of new technologies), studies related to cybercrime and interpersonal crimes (e.g., cyberstalking, indecent images of children, and technology-facilitated intimate partner violence), and protection of children online (from the perspective of interventions and education).
