Paul van Schaik is a Professor of Psychology at Teesside University. His research interests are in human-computer interaction as well as judgement and decision-making, with applications in behavioural security and online privacy, and the energy transition. Recent projects include Putting people at the heart of future social housing design and manufacture (funder: UKRI), Nudge nudge, switch switch: using gamification and behavioural economics to deliver domestic DSR (funder: BEIS), and Towards the Tees Valley energy transition – residential decarbonisation and skills analysis (funder: UK Community Resilience Fund).
