Ingolf Becker is a Lecturer in the Department of Security and Crime Science at UCL. Initially studying Mathematics, but drawn to Crime Science and Information Security, completing a PhD under Angela Sasse and Sebastian Riedel on Measuring and Understanding Security Behaviours in Organisations. Ingolf has since worked on the EPSRC project ACCEPT as well as on some smaller RISCS/NCSC grants, generally focussing on user centric measures to reduce the likelihood of technology-mediated victimisation. Ingolf is also the co-chair of our departmental ethics review board, a program convenor and heavily involved in our new CDT in cybersecurity.
