Dr David Ellis is an Associate Professor in Information Systems at the University of Bath and holds a Visiting Fellowship at The University of Lincoln. He previously obtained an undergraduate degree in psychology from the University of Glasgow followed by an MSc and PhD. The majority of his research focuses on the impact of new technology in basic and applied contexts. He has published on these topics across computer science (e.g., The International Journal of Neural Systems), communication (e.g., The Journal of Communication), medicine (e.g., PloS Medicine), psychology (e.g., Behavior Research Methods), and public health (e.g., The Lancet Public Health). In addition to university led research, David continues to work collaboratively with industry and government partners. This included an ESRC funded placement at The Scottish Government. His research has also received funding from the Chief Scientist Office, CPNI, DSTL and Unilever.
