Catherine O’Brien holds a PhD in Archaeology (Cognitive Archaeology and Anthropology) from the University of Oxford. She is currently a Research Fellow in HCI working on two projects with Dr Mark Warner in the Computer Science department at University College London, one of which is funded by REPHRAIN. For this project, UseCRT – User experience and usability of content reporting tools in online social media platforms and their user-to-user messaging services, she is using qualitative methodologies to explore how different platforms define and report to respond to online harassment, and the user experience and usability of their reporting tools.
