William Tantam

I am a Lecturer in Anthropology at the University of Bristol. In my research with survivors of child sexual abuse I am interested in concepts of voice, power, and silence. My work foregrounds coproducing research with those with lived experiences and finding opportunities for academic insights to drive social change. I am interested in the social institutions and support structures surrounding survivors of child sexual abuse, and focus on understanding the production of silences and social stigma surrounding gendered violence.
