Bianca Slocombe is an Assistant Professor at the Centre for Trust, Peace and Social Relations. She joined Coventry University in July 2020 after completing her Master of Research and PhD in Psychology at Macquarie University, Sydney, Australia. Her doctoral research focused on the moderation of beliefs and values in an actor’s willingness to act violently for a sacred cause. She is interested in behavioural economics and behavioural science and is utilising her expertise in the field of protective security. She is currently working on funded projects for CREST (Centre for Research and Evidence on Security Threats) and NaCTSO (National Counter Terrorism Security Organisation). Dr Slocombe has expertise in experimental and statistical methods and is experienced in multidisciplinary projects that incorporate both qualitative and quantitative investigation and straddle the social sciences and technology.
